Legal Insight Introduces New Online Business Development and Recruiting Medium for Law FirmsTrueViews communicate what sets firms apartWELLESLEY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 1, 2005--Legal Insight Media, Inc. today introduced a first-of-its-kind online business development and recruiting vehicle that helps law firms authentically convey their unique firm character and culture to potential clients and prospective associates. With TrueViews(SM), law firms can present the experiences of clients or associates - in their own words - through audio and visual compilations of personal interviews.
Legal Insight, which produces the TrueViews, brings a deep knowledge of strategic marketing and messaging, enabling clients to present themselves in a way that sets them apart from their competitors. In contrast to videos, TrueViews can be created quickly and easily, and they provide the flexibility to make changes after they've been produced. They can be displayed on the Web, within PowerPoint presentations, in e-mails or displayed on handheld devices. "When a law firm makes a prospective client's short list, expertise is assumed," said Peter Marx, an attorney and president of Legal Insight. "More and more, they are looking at a firm's culture, the work environment and commitment to initiatives like diversity and pro bono work to see if there is a good fit. TrueViews help capture what a relationship with the firm might be like." Legal Insight created a TrueView for Day, Berry & Howard (www.dbh.com) to showcase the firm's women's initiative, Women Working Together. "The TrueView captures our commitment to women attorneys with much more impact than any written communication ever could," said Roberta Montafia, chief marketing officer of Day, Berry & Howard. "It is helping with recruiting, rallying internal support and demonstrating to clients that we are serious about our support of women attorneys." Legal Insight was founded by the husband/wife team of Peter and Barbara Marx. Peter Marx, who has been an attorney for 25 years, was formerly a partner at Boston law firm Goulston & Storrs and served for many years as general counsel of Interactive Data Corporation. A pioneer in the area of online information services, for 15 years he has hosted Business Insight, an award-winning public access TV show broadcast in Boston, New York and Washington, DC. He co-founded and chaired the New England Corporate Counsel Association. Marx received BA, MBA and JD degrees from Cornell University and is a member of the bars of New York, Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. Barbara Marx is a marketing executive, with 20 years of industry experience. Prior to Legal Insight, she consulted with leading organizations on strategic messaging, positioning and branding programs.
